“Although it is the 21st Century, our common sense is not prepared to put an end to nationalism. In Veles, nevertheless, there is nationalism”, says Grozdana Aneva Gjorjievska, from Veles, for CIVIL Media.
As to if the government cares sufficiently for the environment in Veles, Gjorgjievska is decisive that the authorities are not so much to blame as are the citizens, because they don’t care about the environment and nature.
“There are actions for cleaning of the Veles Lake, and after a few days it is dirty again, as if a hurricane had passed – and not people”, she adds.
Gjorgjievska says that there is much freedom and rights on paper, but that we, however, don’t have freedom and rights to enjoy them.
