With equipment and a task to find out how, when and why the fire broke out in the Tetovo modular hospital and took 14 lives, today four forensics have arrived from Germany to Tetovo. The reasons for the fire are being searched in the burned down facility, while the four forensics from Germany from 9.00 am this morning are digging through the burned down place and measuring. Two of them are forensics for investigating the fire, and two are forensics for laser measurement and photographing the place, reports TV Telma.
The expert team is part of the Federal Criminal Police that works on national and international collaboration, investigation, research and development, and was invited by the government. The arrival of foreign expert assistance has opened many legal dilemmas and has concerned law experts after the government announced that it is inviting experts.
According to the Law on criminal procedure, only the Prosecutor’s Office can request forensic expertise from abroad, if such an expert or institutions does not exist in the country.
According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the procedure has been respected, and it is not the Government, but they who engaged the experts from abroad.
