Antibiotics should not be used excessively and there are sufficient quantities of COVID-19 drugs. This is not a disease that can be cured by a specific medication, said Health Minister Venko Filipche on Friday.
Minister Filipche said there is a huge number of clinical studies but they have still not produced a single drug for treatment of the diseases.
“There is a combination of drugs used for treatment. Each of the combinations require proper timing and indication based on multiple analyses,” Filipche told reporters.
He said it is difficult to forecast developments because the virus is unpredictable both in the sense of epidemiological traits and clinical manifestations.
Filipche said he expects a mild decrease in the number of new cases in the coming period, if protective measures are observed.
