In addition to vaccinated persons, people who have recovered from COVID-19 will also be permitted to enter hospitality venues and outdoor events, stated today Minister of Health Venko Filipce.
“Those who have recovered”, as Filipce stated, “just need to have a medical certificate that they have been infected with COVID-19 within a period no longer than 45 days” and added that the new restrictive measures that are to start on August 16, are in the direction of protecting the public health.
This is a kind of an addition to the reply to the question that CIVIL MEDIA asked the Ministry of Health on August 12, when they replied that only those fully vaccinated would have access.
“I believe that we are all aware, that citizens are aware that it concerns measures aimed at protecting the health. Such measures have been introduced in all developed countries in Europe and around the world. In general, the need for showing a vaccination certificate applies to everyone, the only thing introduced as a ban is the organizing of weddings and celebrations indoors, because protection protocols at such celebrations are difficult to implement and observe”, said Filipce.
In terms of the anticipated introduction of enforcement services by the caterers, Filipce said that they are in the direction of protecting the caterers and that in introducing the measures, there had been discussion with all entities, and added that the option for additional consultation is open regarding any difficulties or challenges that might occur in implementing the new protocol and measures.
Out of a total of 3497 patients diagnosed in the past seven days, 3047 are not vaccinated, that is, only ten percent are vaccinated and are positive, while those who are being treated in a hospital have a quite stable condition, stated today Minister of Health Venko Filipce. He encouraged citizens to get vaccinated, as this the way to achieve collective immunity and to be able to live normally.
According to him, the number of newly diagnosed and hospitalized patients is especially high in cities where those who have been vaccinated amount to about twenty percent. They are Kumanovo, Tetovo, Gostivar, Kicevo. In Ohrid, about 50% percent have been vaccinated and there are less that ten hospitalized patients.
The response is great after the announcement of the new measures that start on August 16. Around 8,000 citizens in average report daily to receive the first dose of the vaccine. I believe we will continue with that dynamic and in a relatively short time the vaccination coverage will increase,” he stated
In terms of the vaccines, he said that there is a sufficient number, and also announced a donation of the “Pfizer” vaccine from Bulgaria.
In relation to the states insisting on vaccination, yesterday’s example of Canada was given, where vaccination of the public sector will be mandatory.
