Doctors performed overnight another successful heart transplant, fourth since last May.
“Early this morning, the heart of a 44-year-old patient, whose family selflessly donated her organs, started to beat again. A patient who has been suffering from a severe cardiac-vascular disease for years got a new chance of life. Over the past 24 hours, about 100 doctors, nurses and medics worked together and demonstrated the capabilities of our health system,” Health Minister Venko Filipche said in a Facebook post.
The donor’s kidneys and bone tissues will also be transplanted.
