NEWS OF THE DAY: Parliamentary debate on election of Deputy Ministers in Government
Dealing with the consequences of the pandemic, preserving jobs, creating a functional economy and restoring economic growth to 4 percent, improving the living standard of citizens and further increase in salaries, strong institutions, non-selective justice and fight against corruption, building a society with equal opportunities for all, as well as active participation in all processes and activities of the country as a member of NATO and start and successful completion of the negotiations for EU membership are part of the priorities of the new government, in which realization Prime Minister Zoran Zaev expects the involvement of the new deputy ministers he proposes.
With the appointment of the Deputy Ministers, said the Prime Minister, the system of efficient and strong institutions with full capacity and legitimacy is being completed, which will work on the realization of the government program, and above all, in dealing with the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, as one of the first government priorities.
STATEMENT OF THE DAY: Zaev: Average salary continues to grow also in conditions of a health and economic crisis
An 8.5 percent increase in the average salary is noted in July this year compared to the same month last year, wrote Prime Minister Zoran Zaev on his Facebook profile, outlining that the average salary continues to grow also in conditions of a health and economic crisis.
“According to data of the State Statistical Office, the average net salary in July was 27,231 denars and had increased by 2,127 denars. This is due to the increase in salaries in the education and health care in the past year, as well as to the efficient anti-crisis measures during a pandemic”, added Zaev.
CIVIL ACTIVITIES: CIVIL’s Green Caravan with a workshop in Stip on green values
CIVIL, within the framework of the Green Caravan, today, September 22, starting at 11.00 am, held a workshop in the premises of the Municipality of Stip.
Representatives of the Municipality and Municipal Council, institutions, civil society organizations, green initiatives, political parties, media and activists in the respective areas took part in the workshop. Participation of no more than 20 participants was anticipated, complying to the COVID-19 protection measures.
Workshop moderator is Biljana Jordanovska from CIVIL, with President of CIVIL Xhabir Deralla presenting the project.
Following the workshop, CIVIL’s Green Caravan continues with info-stands in Stip and Sveti Nikole, where the citizens, media and those interested who will visit them, will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and views with CIVIL’s team, and at the same time will be able to participate in the video survey: “Why green? Voice your opinion out loud”.

A graffiti dedicated to peace covered the messages with hate speech on one of the walls in the Skopje Old Bazaar. The graffiti is realized by activists Jetmir Asani and Valon Kuci, and is drawn by artist Dako Gji, in cooperation with the Peace Organization – Peace Action, and is titled “Wall of Peace”, on the occasion of September 21, International Day of Peace.
