Elementary education reform is comprehensive and it should introduce real values in the society through several segments, Minister of Education and Social Policy Mila Carovska has said.
These segments, she adds, include one society for all, inclusion, gender equality and multi-culturalism. Education is the backbone of what kind of society we want to establish. In such society we should educate future generations to lead the country,” Minister Carivska tells Slobodna TV’s Morning Briefing show.
The concept, she says, is prepared by educators, psychologists and advisors from the Education Development Bureau, which is the practice everywhere in the world.
“In this stage of public discussions, it matters to us to hear the opinions of all stakeholders, which will serve as the basis for creating a reforms that will produce good results, because the country will change through it and the educational system will change for the better,” Carovska says.
Funds have been set aside from the 2021 budget to implement the reform, she adds. In addition to state financing, financial support will be secured from international institutions, including the World Bank, UNICEF, the EU Delegation, and the British embassy.
