The Guarantee Fund, the Green Investment Fund, support for export-oriented companies and others should provide about EUR 150 million for crediting of businesses.
Support for businesses in 2022 will increase by 30 percent compared to this year, said Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi on Wednesday.
“We should also not neglect the other programmes supporting the economy by respective ministries,” Deputy PM Bytyqi told a press conference. On the energy crisis, he said developments are continually monitored and there is communication with the business chambers on a daily basis.
“The Government is undertaking all measures towards ensuring sufficient electricity quantities for households and small consumers. Let’s not forget that small consumers come from the economy, in which micro and small enterprises account for 97.8 percent. Electricity has been secured for these consumers for the next six months and the public should know this,” said Bytyqi.
Regarding support for businesses due to the sudden cancellation of the contracts by energy suppliers, the Deputy PM said the state cannot interfere because the contracts are drafted in line with the liberalized energy market.
“We are in discussions with the Energy Regulatory Commission on whether there are grounds for cancellation of the contracts according to the Law on Obligatory Relations and the Energy Law. For sure, the Government will intervene if there are breaches,” said Bytyqi.
