Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi, who is also high-ranking official in DUI, said the political parties of the Albanian opposition bloc although invited at a meeting rejected the invitation for talks on various issues.
“It seems their goal is to block rather than to contribute,” Bekteshi said Monday.
“The Macedonian opposition has already backed laws of the fifth stimulus package. As for the Albanian opposition, we invited them today to reach agreement on an array of issues, however, they didn’t accept the invitation,” he told a news conference answering a reporter’s question.
Earlier today, DUI announced that its secretary Artan Grubi would meet with officials of BESA, DPA, the Alliance for Albanians and Alternativa regarding the upcoming census. An hour later, the party, which is the junior coalition partner, said the meeting was cancelled after the opposition parties Alliance for Albanians and Alternativa didn’t confirm that their officials would attend the meeting.
