NEWS OF THE DAY: On May 1, 2 and 3 curfew will start at 2pm and will last until 5am the next day
A shortened curfew for the May 1 holidays decided the Government at today’s session, with the new decision for restricting the movement of citizens on the territory of the entire state during the May 1 holidays.
On May 1, 2 and 3, that is, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, citizens will be allowed outside from 5am until 2pm. The nationwide ban on movement will start at 2pm and will last until 5am the following day, wrote Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski on his Facebook profile.
Persons over the age of 67 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be allowed to go outside from 5am until 11am.
All children and young people under the age of 18 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be able to go outside from 12 noon to 2pm.
STATE OF EMERGENCY
Over the past 24 hours, 362 tests have been made and 22 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed, as follows: Skopje-11, Kumanovo-2, Struga-1, Veles-3, Kavadarci-2, Gostivar-2 and Negotino-1. This brings the total number of diagnosed patients with COVID-19 in the country to 1.421, the number of recovered patients to 589, and the number of patients who have died to 71, and with 761 active cases currently in the country.

In the past 24 hours a total of 42 people throughout the country have disregarded the curfew, of which 32 have been detained, announced the Ministry of Interior.

In the past 24 hours, during the implementation of the measures for restricted movement and protection of citizens from the spread of COVID-19, according to the statistical data of the MoI, three persons in Kicevo have not complied to the ban on movement, informs the spokesperson of the Ohrid Sector of Interior, Stefan Dimoski.

The Government today announced that the personal protective measures remain in force, namely, mandatory wearing of protective equipment (mask, scarf or shawl) over the mouth and nose, in all public buildings such as state institutions, markets, stores, banks, post offices, public transportation, waiting rooms, health care institutions and similar.
Wearing protective equipment is mandatory also in open spaces, whenever a minimum distance of two meters cannot be maintained between citizens.

Minister of Health Venko Filipce says that he has no information that now there is an additional increase in the prices of face masks, but will signal the two competent inspectorates to conduct an inspection.
Today at a press conference he clarified that wearing a surgical mask is not mandatory, regardless of whether it is double layer or triple layer, but that it can be replaced with a shawl or scarf.

incidence has been registered, while the lowest incidence of 22.4 / 100.000 residents is registered among children aged 10-19 and 0-9, where 56 and 51 cases have been registered accordingly.
