The State Commission for Prevention of Corruption at Friday’s session opened three cases against officials for accumulation of executive positions, which stem from 2020 statements on conflict of interest.
The cases involve a member of a municipal council, who is also a member of a kindergarten’s steering board; a lawmaker who is also a member of the supervisory board of the Crisis Management Center and an acting principal of a municipal high school, who also owns a company.
The anti-corruption commission also opened cases against two lawmakers after changing the managers of their companies and appointing close associates, and a government minister who also changed the manager of his company, but appointed someone close to him.
The commission at today’s session also adopted the 2021-2023 strategic plan, which envisaged procurement of a new software and new employments.
Also, Shemsi Salai was elected new deputy president of the state body. A new deputy president is elected every six months according to its rules of procedures.
