The Parliament’s Committee on Constitutional Affairs with ten votes in favour and seven against approved the proposal for constitutional amendments for further discussion.
At Tuesday’s session of the Committee on Constitutional Affairs, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski elaborated the proposal, followed by discussion by representatives of MP groups, informs news agency MIA.
VMRO-DPMNE MPs reiterated their position that they will not support the constitutional amendments.
A plenary session on the need for constitutional amendments is scheduled for August 18.
