KOHA: Serbs in the north will protest against Kurti and German Ambassador Rohde

The so-called crisis headquarters in the north of Kosovo, established by local Serbs, called on citizens to a protest that will be held today in Rudar, Municipality of Zvecan.

Representatives of this headquarters announced that the organization of this protest is connected to recent statements by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti regarding the barricades, which they consider a threat, as well as by the German Ambassador of Kosovo, Jorn Rohde.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in an interview for the Guardian several days ago said that removal of the barricades in the north cannot exclude casualties.

Even the German Ambassador in Pristina, Jorn Rhode, while talking about the latest situation in the north of Kosovo said that the barricades should be removed by Christmas, and that Belgrade’s demand for returning Serbian forces to Kosovo is absurd and unacceptable, reports Kosovo media outlet KOHA.

JAVA NEWS: EU – Western Balkans in times of trouble

“The common regional market, agreed within the Berlin process, cannot be the golden solution for the countries of the region, because the Western Balkans depend on trade and foreign direct investments that come from the EU to a much greater extent than on inter Vedi trade. Still, it should be considered as a preparatory platform for EU membership. The experience from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe shows us that after joining the EU, the exchange between them in goods and services increased by about 50%. More or less, the same logic goes for our region as well, in the event that the materialization of the Common Regional Market is accompanied by investments in the interconnection of the infrastructure, energy and environment” writes among other things in the analyses „EU – Western Balkans in times of trouble“   by Ditmir Bushati.

Prof. Adnan Agai dies, one of the greatest educators of education in the Albanian language in the country

One of the most significant educators of education in the Albanian language in the country, Prof. Adnan Agai, died on Tuesday night.

Prof. Adnan Agai is known as one of the worthiest representatives of education in the Albanian language from the post-war period to his retirement, enjoying respect as an educator and emancipator of generations, giving not only knowledge and love to the subject he taught, the mother language, but also to the national and universal human values. He enriched his contribution in the area of education also as an author of textbooks and large Albanian- Macedonian dictionaries, in co-authorship with his wife, Prof. Kimete Agai: “Reading book for “V” grade (1971, reprinted five times), “Dictionary of proper names”, Albanian-Macedonian Dictionary (1996), Macedonia-Albanian Dictionary (1999), “Lexicon of foreign names and phrases” and also a collaborator in the scenario for the TV film “A Game of Letters”. Agai is recipient of the recognition for particular contribution in the affirmation of education in Albanian language in the Republic of Macedonia (2006), the November 13 award (2016), and in 2018 for March 7 – Day of the Albanian Education.
