“Maybe there are supporters of Russia in these countries, but still they don’t go there or migrate there, but choose Western countries to continue their education, work and they appreciate Western values where human rights, values, protection and the rights of every citizen are respected. If our countries do not join the EU, the citizens themselves will become part of the Union”, said Samir Beharic, representative of the “Balkan Forum” Initiative in Bosnia and Hercegovina, who participated in the two-day conference of the “Logex“ network.
According to Beharic, there is a serious threat to peace and security if the bomb threats continue in most countries of the Western Balkans, as there are politicians who are gambling with peace and risking a new war or conflict, because today wars can be fought without soldiers, for example, with drones, nonetheless, that is why the main goal of the Western Balkans should be integration into NATO, and also there is no better alternative than the EU.

The LogEx community was established in December 2021. It is a partnership between universities and academics, civil society organizations and business actors from the Western Balkans and the diaspora in the region. LogEx is a consortium of different organizations with a common idea such as circular economy, security, development of strategies on how to continue the focus on these topics, with the purpose to promote and include different entities of society, such as the business sector, local authorities, central governments, to improve legislation, as well as measures that need to be supported. The primary goal is how to attract the attention of the young people for them to be more aware about the potential, personal development and certainly employment through circular economy.
