If Russia fulfills its obligations regarding the ‘grain corridor’, Ukraine will continue to guarantee the stability of food exports to the Middle East, Africa and Asia.The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister Dmytro Kuleba, commenting on the arrival of the cargo ship POLARNET at Turkey’s Derince Port, an Ukrinform correspondent reports, referring to the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry.
“Arrival of the first vessel with Ukrainian grain to the Turkish port is a message of hope for every family in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia: Ukraine will not abandon you. We have always been, we are, and we will be a reliable supplier of agricultural products. Unlike Russia, we do not play the ‘Hunger Games’,” Kuleba said.
In his words, full responsibility for the further functioning of the ‘grain corridor’ rests with Russia.
“If it holds on to its obligations, Ukrainian food exports will continue to guarantee stability for our Middle Eastern, African, and Asian friends,” Kuleba stressed.
A reminder that the cargo ship POLARNET loaded with 12,000 tonnes of Ukrainian-produced corn left Ukraine’s Chornomorsk Port on August 5, 2022.
