Most casualties were recorded in Donetsk region – 373, Kharkiv region – 191, Kyiv region – 116, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 61, Mykolaiv region – 53, Kherson region – 52, and Zaporizhzhia region – 31.
On July 17, a 16-year-old boy was injured in Russian enemy shelling of the village of Novyi Donbas, Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region.
On the same day, Russian forces once again shelled the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. Three children, aged 2, 3 and 9, were wounded. They have injuries of varying severity.
In addition, regular air strikes and shelling of civilian infrastructure and residential areas by the Russian armed forces damaged 2,138 educational institutions. Of which, 221 were completely destroyed.
