President Stevo Pendarovski addressed Friday via video link the participants of the “Young Managers and Business Leaders” programme, which is held under his auspices, МIA news agency informs.
He said in his address that we should be proud that in our country we have young people who have the desire to obtain knowledge outside the formal education, to continue learning and expand their intellectual horizons, and to improve their skills and talents.
Pendarovski pointed out one of the main goals of the recently promoted Development Framework MKD2030, was to meet the needs of the young people with the ultimate target is to reduce brain drain of young professionals from the country.
“This year, we are continuing the “Young Managers and Business Leaders” programme with an expanded composition of participants, which shows that we have succeeded to spur your interest, but also that last year’s participants showed quality,” Pendarovski said, adding that only a open-minded community has perspectives on development and progress.
“The more we learn,” he said, “the more we give our creativity a chance and come up with new ideas and innovations that move us forward.”
“We must be ready to create functional solutions and policies in the changing global environment,” Pendarovski noted. The “Young Managers and Business Leaders” programme is implemented in cooperation between the Cabinet of the President and the Foreign Investors Council. It involves thirty-two young people and eighteen companies that have made available their facilities for young people to have the opportunity to gain new, practical knowledge.
