The Ministry of Health informs, according to the data from the Institute of Public Health that in the last 24 hours, 7.724 tests have been performed, and 1.964 new cases of COVID-19 were registered, in: Skopje – 1070, Bitola – 226, Prilep – 122, Kumanovo – 52, Ohrid – 51, Valandovo – 44, Radovish – 35, Veles – 32, Gevgelija – 31, Kavadarci – 29, Tetovo and Kocani – 22, Gostivar and Krushevo – 21, Struga and Strumica – 20, Kicevo and Kriva Palanka – 17, Resen and Bogdanci – 13, Stip, Negotino and Delchevo – 12, Sveti Nikole – 10, Kratovo – 9, Demir Hisar – 8, Berovo, Probistip, Makedonski Brod and Pehchevo – 4, Debar, Vinica and Makedonska Kamenica – 2, Demir Kapija – 1.
Due to a technical problem in the My Term system, no recovered persons were registered during the day. Healed people from today will be shown in tomorrow’s information.
Over the past 24 hours 7 deaths were registered: 2 deceased persons from Skopje (82g and 87g), 2 deceased persons from Prilep (74g and 86g) and one deceased person each from Resen (67g), Struga (71g) and Kriva Palanka (39g). The reported persons died in hospital.
According to the Register of Deaths with Diagnosis KOVID-19 from Moj Termin, 6 people have registered, 2 deceased persons from Gevgelija (66 and 78) and one deceased each from Skopje (71), Bitola (78), Delchevo (70) and Kavadarci (76), who died in the period from 30.12.2021-08.01.2022. The deceased are aged 66 to 78 years. Of the reported, 3 people died in hospital and 3 at home.

The total number of KOVID-diagnosed persons in our country since the beginning of the epidemic is 236.241, the number of cured patients is 215.853, the number of dead is 8.055, and the number of active cases is 12.333.
