The lifting of Bulgaria’s veto on Northern Macedonia is a function of the work that both the Macedonian and Bulgarian sides must do and to make progress on all important points, Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov told Nova Television.
As MIA reports from Sofia, Petkov expressed hope that good neighborliness should be leading, but that requires a lot of work from both sides.
“Bulgaria and Northern Macedonia must work together,” Petkov said.
Asked whether Russia interferes in Bulgarian-Macedonian relations through the film “One Faith, One Language”, Petkov commented that the theses presented in it are completely opposite to the good neighborly relations between Bulgaria and Northern Macedonia. Petkov also reminds that the Bulgarian government has spoken out against the film and not only does not approve of it, but also strongly criticizes it.
“Bulgaria can not be indifferent when someone tries to undermine Bulgarian history,” Petkov said.
