In 2022, Macedonian citizens will have four extended weekends. Out of a total of 11 non-working days for all citizens, five are associated with the weekend, but two holidays are non-working days on the same day. Last year there were five extended holiday weekends, and in 2020 six.
The first extended weekend for all citizens will be during the Christmas holidays, when the non-working day is January 7, Friday.
The second non-working day that merges with the weekend is April 25 (Monday), the second day of the Christian holiday Easter. There will be an extended weekend for May 1, which falls on Sunday, due to which the non-working day is Monday, May 2. On this day is the holiday Ramadan Eid.
The last extended holiday weekend is in October. Non-working day on the occasion of the Day of the Macedonian Revolutionary Struggle, October 23, is Monday, October 24.

For the citizens of the Catholic religion, April 18 (Monday), Easter, the second day of Easter, November 1 (Tuesday), the Feast of All Saints, December 25 (Sunday), the first day of Christmas are also non-working days.
For the citizens of the Muslim religion, July 9 (Saturday), Eid al-Adha, the first day of Eid al-Adha, is also non-working.
