Transatlantic ties and resetting synergy between the European Union and the United States toward the Western Balkans is the topic of the high-level panel taking place in Ohrid on the second day of the first international conference as part of the Prespa Forum Dialogue.
The panel will be opened by President Stevo Pendarovski and it will also feature addresses by Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović, Slovenian President Borut Pahor, US Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, Philip Reeker and European Commissioner Johannes Hahn.
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev will also take part in the event alongside the prime ministers of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and of Albania, Edi Rama. It will feature addresses by Zoran Tegeltija, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau, Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schalenberg, Regional Cooperation Council Majlinda Bregu, etc.
The conference through panels is dedicated to the Western Balkans through the prism of reconciliation and building of confidence between the people in the region, through the prism of transatlantic relations, economic cooperation, connections with the civil society and the media, and gender sensibility in these key processes.
