We are a non-governmental and non-profit organization, on a voluntary basis in order to help the survival and development of beekeeping. And the bee, I think everyone should know how important we are in the very survival of the flora and fauna, as well as in the consumption of healthy food, said Mende Trajkovski, Council of the Beekeeping Association Macedonia.
We exist in that direction, we work, we lobby, we represent as an organization. But I can not boast that we always come across open doors in the relevant institutions. But we never give up, we are active and hardworking, we have probably received more from the bees, and they never give up, so neither do we.
We, as unions of beekeeping associations, communicate at the level of the Balkans. In that field we are fighting a great battle to fight for the honey of dubious quality, which is available throughout the Balkans and in our country.
It is for us an unfair competition and a great pity because still the citizens do not use the right healthy food and give a lot of financial means as if it is of good quality. We do all this to contribute to some better conditions. Let us not get to that level of organizing any protests and then have our voice heard. I think that the relevant ministries must not be brought to that level.
