The Montenegrin government has recalled honorary consul in Skopje, Branko Azeski, Montenegrin media report.
The government explained that the move was taken because Azeski has tried to disparage and compromise the highest authorities in Montenegro by presenting his personal remarks and predictions regarding the government’s work, daily Dan reports.
The decision to recall is reported to have been made at the latest session of the Montenegrin government.
According to the decision signed by the Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić, the Interior Ministry has learned that Azeski, in performing his duties as honorary consul, used every opportunity to express doubts about Montenegro’s reputation and the credibility of its bodies.
Azeski has been Montenegro’s honorary consul to Skopje since 2016.
