North Macedonia is a role model in the region on how EU reforms are implemented and European values are promoted. Convening the first intergovernmental conference is necessary to boost the EU-oriented reforms and strong impetus for the European perspectives of all Western Balkan countries, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani posted Tuesday on Facebook after he and PM Zoran Zaev met in Brussels with Bulgarian MEP and EP rapporteur for North Macedonia Ilhan Kyuchyuk.
In a Facebook post following the meeting Kyuchyuk said that connectivity between Bulgaria and North Macedonia is key to good neighborly relations.
“We need: agenda based on the future; connectivity – infrastructural, digital, educational and cultural; restoring trust and strengthening relations between Bulgaria and North Macedonia,” read Kyuchyuk’s post.
