European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi met Monday with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas on the EU accession process of North Macedonia and Albania.
“Good discussion with Foreign Minister Heiko Maas today. Exchanged views on the Western Balkans and the need to move forward the EU enlargement process, including by launching accession talks with Albania and North Macedonia as soon as possible,” tweeted Varhelyi.
Discussions also tackled EU’s support to the region in fighting the COVID 19 pandemic.
