Health Minister Venko Filipche is expected to brief the public at an 11 am press conference on Wednesday on decisions of the Commission for Infectious Diseases over possible new recommendations for introducing additional restrictions to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The Commission for Infectious Diseases is set to hold a meeting on reviewing the COVID-19 situation in the country.
“The meeting will analyze the virus trends and the infection rate by regions, as well as the number of hospitalized patients. At the moment, I can’t say whether any new recommendations will be forwarded to the Government,” Filipche said on Tuesday.
After North Macedonia reported a growing number of new COVID-19 cases and hospital admissions, a nationwide curfew between 10 pm and 5 am was reinstated until March 22.
