NEWS OF THE DAY: Pendarovski: Security situation stable, COVID-19 pandemic remains greatest challenge
“The security situation in the country and the region is stable and there are no indications that the territorial integrity could be threatened. The greatest crisis we are facing is the Covid-19 pandemic, which remains the most important challenge in the following months as well”, stated President Stevo Pendarovski after today’s meeting of the Security Council.
Pendarovski highlighted that the competent institutions are continuously monitoring all conditions that could potentially grow into a more serious security problem, including also a possible new wave of a migrant crisis. According to current assessments, developments in regards to the pandemic are not expected to have an influence on the overall security situation in the country.

CIVIL ACTIVITIES: The Greens are coming in Stip: Through education to strengthening public awareness on green values, social justice and anti-nationalism
CIVIL organized the workshop “The Greens are Coming” within the framework of the Green Caravan, dedicated to green values, social justice and antinationalism, which was held in the premises of the Municipality of Stip.
Representatives of the Municipality and Municipal Council, as well as representatives of civil society and the media took part in the workshop. The main topics and goals of Green CIVIL encouraged the participants to develop a discussion about the main activities that are being carried out in promoting and fostering green values, social justice and antinationalism, but also shared the main problems the citizens of Stip face at the local level in terms of the hygiene, workers’ rights, education and strengthening public awareness.
