The Conference “For a society free of corruption” , organized by CIVIL and Zelena Lupa (Green Lenses), is being held today (Thursday, December 6) at Hotel Park, (behind the City Stadium) starting at 1.30 pm and will last 120 minutes. Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, Rozeta Trajan from the SCPC, Prof. Mirjana Najcevska, Vane Cvetanov from Zelena Lupa and Xhabir Deralla from CIVIL will speak at the conference.
During the conference preparations, the organizers are noting enormous interest in the public for this event, having in consideration how busy the calendar of events for this period of the years is. In the second part of the conference, according to announcements, according to the order of registration, the discussions will also include: Dzevdet Hajredini, finance expert and former finance minister, Pavle Trajanov, President of Democratic Union party, Vladimir Georgiev, state advisor in the SCPC and GRECO evaluator, Mariglen Demiri from the Institute of social sciences and humanities– Skopje, Petar Bogojevski, VMRO-DPMNE activist and founder of the Institute of sustainable management, Goran Lefkov, journalist in the Center for investigative journalism Skoop and Ilija Nikolovski, President of the Party of United Pensioners. Several representatives of the international community have also announced their presence. Following the presentations and discussions, journalist, as well as all those present, will have the opportunity to ask short questions or for comments.
The Conference has the goal to initiate the creation of public space in which issues related to corruption will be discussed in continuity, with participation of the wider public in interaction with relevant representatives of various government sectors, civil society organizations and experts. Representatives of the media, civil society organizations and institutions, as well as representatives of the international community have been invited.
Based on the presentations and comments, CIVIL will also prepare recommendations that it will present to the public through its media platform and public announcements.
The conference is part of the project “Citizens for a free society”, which is implemented by CIVIL, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
