With 76 votes “for”, and without any votes against or abstained, the Parliament adopted the Declaration on supporting the accession process for NATO membership of Republic of Macedonia.
Zoran Zaev from SDSM, Hristijan Mickoski from VMRO-DPMNE, Ali Ahmeti from DUI and Bilal Kasami from the Tetovo wing of BESA, are the four leaders that today sat at the leaders’ meeting in a smaller format, after Mickoski left the leaders’ meeting yesterday and demanded a smaller format. After two-hours of talks, the leaders have taken a break.
The Association of Journalists of Macedonia, SSM and the Council of Media Ethics condemned yesterday’s incident at the Parliamentarian’s Club, when the police prevented a photo-reporter from photographing at the moment when party representatives were arriving to the leaders’ meeting, due to security reasons, while the head of the government service for public relations, Marjan Zabrcanec made inappropriate comments to to the media workers for reacting to the restrictions. Today, with a joint photo of the photographers and
government officials from the Parliamentarian’s club, they have confirmed that the disagreements have been overcome and an agreement has been reached.
