SDSM commended the results of the Government’s pilot project “The Youth Guarantee”. In the last three months 419 people have been employed, 196 have started training programs, and 160 have started traineeship in companies.
The project is being implemented in Strumica, Gostivar and Skopje and so far 1,532 unemployed people up to the age of 29 have been included.
“The goal of this measure is for the young people to receive good quality offers for employment, continued education, apprenticeship and traineeship. All of these are crucial for successful integration of young people in the labor market and the for reducing the outflow of educated cadre from the country”, is said in SDSM’s announcement.
They add from SDSM that starting from 2019, the “Youth Guarantee” will be an active measure for employment, continued education, training and traineeship for the young people in Macedonia.
Youth Guarantee is an active measure for employment of young people that is implemented in the countries of the European Union. However, even though our country is still not a member of the EU, the Government has started introducing the “Youth Guarantee” and following the European youth policies with the aim of opening opportunities for young people in Macedonia.
However, the opposition instantly reacted to SDSM’s praising saying that the Government lied to the young people and left them without a perspective and humiliated at the same, because it had promised employment of 600,000 young people who have moved out of the country. In the meanwhile, according to the opposition the number of those who have left the country has risen.
“Zoran Zaev, Radmila Shekerinska, Renata Deskovska and Stefan Bogoev promised that the young people would receive an offer for employment, traineeship or continued education following their education, and that they would realize this as a pilot project in the very first six months of the new government. More than a year has passed, and there is no sign of this project”, is said from VMRO-DPMNE.
And normally, just like for every other issue, the opposition sees yet another step for sinking the state in this one as well.
Or with their words, “Every time we think that with SDSM we have hit rock bottom, they assure us that it can be worse”.
And while SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE are arguing about who means well for Macedonia, in terms of the economy, the name, education and corruption, in this case, the youth, in the focus of their public appearances, are however, the interests of the citizens. All the citizens.
And just like always, the question arises if it concerns the same, all, citizens, when it comes to party quarrels.
