CIVIL – Center for Freedom organized a panel discussion titled: “It’s about the name”, with Afrim Gashi from BESA and Jove Kekenovski from FRODEM, as part of #Perspectives 2.0. #Perspectives 2.0 is a series of multimedia events of CIVIL with panel discussions, statements, interviews and presentations dedicated to the social and political trends in Macedonia. In “Perspectives 2.0” we will talk about the accomplishments, the failures and the challenges that lie ahead of our country until the end of this year.
Nikole Gruevski was sentenced today, in absentia, to two years in prison for unlawfully influencing the Ministry of Interior in the purchase of a bulletproof Mercedes of 600,000 euros in the case “Tank”. Gjoko Popovski was sentenced to 6.6 years for the same case for abuse of office. This sentence is in addition to yesterday’s ruling in which Popovski was sentenced to nine years in prison for illegal procurement of 300 vehicles for the MOI.
