The Ministry of Health said Friday that a total of 937 COVID-19 patients are being treated in hospitals in North Macedonia.
28 confirmed coronavirus patients have been admitted in the COVID centers in Skopje due to virus complications over the past 24 hours.
A total of 355 confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients are being treated at the infectious disease wards in the hospitals in the capital.
In the past 24 hours, 12 patients were admitted to hospitals in Skopje’s internal clinics.
Moreover, 4 patients were admitted at the COVID unit within the Skopje City General Hospital ‘8 September’ and 12 patients at the Clinic for Infectious, adds the press release.
In addition, 18 recovered patients were discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours.
29 patients are currently being treated at the COVID unit within the Dermatology Clinic, 35 at the Neurology Clinic and 52 at the Institute for Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis.
There are 81 patients at the “8 September” hospital, 128 patients at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases, 25 patients at the Institute of Respiratory Diseases in Children-Kozle and five patients at the Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics.
Across North Macedonia, 582 people are hospitalized for coronavirus-related complications, according to the press release.
The total number of COVID-19 patients treated in hospitals in the capital and across the country is 937 and there are 260 beds available, with more expected to become available during the day as recovered patients are discharged, the press release notes.
All state centers have enough oxygen for patients who need it and hospital capacities, if necessary, can be increased to admit more coronavirus patients, the release adds.
