A total of 636 people are hospitalized for coronavirus-related complications in North Macedonia’s covid centers, including 261 patients in Skopje. According to the Ministry of Health on Friday, 400 beds are available nationwide.
Over the past 24 hours, 35 new people were admitted to Skopje’s covid centers for coronavirus-related complications.
Ten people were admitted to the Mother Teresa State Clinical Center clinics; seven were admitted to the covid center within the September 8th City General Hospital; six to the Clinic for Infectious Diseases; and 15 to the Kozle Institute of Respiratory Diseases in Children.
Currently hospitalized at the Mother Teresa State Clinical Center’s Dermatology Clinic are 30 people; another 15 at the Neurology Clinic; and 22 at the Institute for Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis.
A total of 75 people infected with the coronavirus are treated at the September 8th hospital; 91 at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases; 27 at the Kozle Institute of Respiratory Diseases in Children, and one woman at the University Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics.
Many of them are on oxygen support, according to the press release.
Nineteen people were discharged from hospital over the past 24 hours, and 90 hospital beds were available in Skopje until Friday at 8 am.
More beds are expected to become available during the day as recovered patients are discharged.
All state covid centers have enough oxygen for patients who need it, according to the Ministry of Health, and hospital capacities, if necessary, can be increased to admit more coronavirus patients, the release adds.
