WITHOUT FILTER: Political victory in the name of hatred and violence is a defeat for all
video column by Xhabir Deralla
The point is that political points, and even political victory, won on the basis of hatred, on the basis of calls for extermination, can never be a victory for all. It will be a victory for several people, and on the basis of that victory, everyone in society, the entire country will have to live in misery… All of us!

The opposition party VMRO-DPMNE is constantly finding “justifications” not to go to elections. One of the excuses is that they don’t have money for a political Facebook campaign. Aleksandar Nikolovski from VMRO-DPMNE said that his party wants elections with a normal campaign that implies rallies and field activities. As part of the reasons he also indicated the inability to meet with farmers, but also the lack of funds for a Facebook campaign.
“We will not go to Facebook elections. A Facebook campaign is not a campaign”, said Nikolovski.
And yet, VMRO-DPMNE’s Advisory Group and the Coalition of the City of Skopje do have money to sponsor a video with black campaign against the Mayor of the City of Skopje, Petre
Shilegov. The video was posted yesterday and has so far been shared around a hundred times and has about thirty comments, most of which are insulting and contain hate speech.

Additional Deputy Minister of Interior Slavjanka Petrovska, in relation to the footage in which VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Misckoski can be seen training in a gym during curfew hours, pointed out that the investigation is still open for this case.
“I will not comment about the part with the glare as it has caused serious criticism in the public, because this has casted a shadow over the professional work. Minister Chulev tried to defend him and currently the hard drives from the gym are being examined. The purpose of the examination is to check the credibility of the footage and to see if something has been deleted from the hard drives, and that is why the investigation is not finished”, said Petrovska.
