ELECTIONS SDSM leader Zoran Zaev in his guest appearance last night on the TV show “Top Topic” said that it is unthinkable to vote during the summer at 40 degree temperatures with face masks on. In regards to the leaders’ meeting with President Pendarovski, Zaev said that the meeting was productive and hopes that at the next meeting at the President’s Office a specific date for the elections will be set.

The state of emergency was introduced due to the health situation and the COVID-19 epidemic, but also because of the economic implications as a result of the coronavirus crisis, in order for the government to be able to adopt decrees with force of law and help the citizens and the economy while we don’t have a Parliament, said SDSM leader Zoran Zaev tonight in the interview for TV Telma, in which, among else, he spoke about the possibility of continuing the state of emergency.

COORDINATION The Ministry of Health informs that coordination is starting with the neighbouring countries for dealing with the coronavirus, and these preparations have the purpose of conducting coordinated easing of measures for prevention of bringing and spreading COVID-19 and for enabling safe travel abroad for citizens when the conditions will allow this, announced the Government today.

MEETING SDSM President Zoran Zaev today had a video meeting with British Ambassador to the Republic of Macedonia Rachel Galloway.

ECONOMIC MEASURES Buying domestic products, visiting domestic tourist capacities, promotion of the IT sector and agriculture by building purchase points, is anticipated with the third set of economic measures that SDSM leader Zoran Zaev announced, for which he said that over 500 million euros assistance for citizens have been anticipated.

MEETING Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski today held the third meeting with members of the Economic Council, experts, the Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia, representatives of Chambers and trade union representatives.
Prime Minister Spasovski, as is stated, said that the third set of measures has the goal of supporting both the citizens and the economy.
