A total of 1,045 domestic and foreign observers and translators have been accredited for the 2021 local elections that are being held today.
According to the data of the State Election Commission, the elections will be monitored by 714 domestic observers. 512 observers have been accredited from the Civil Association AKSIOS 2017, 190 from the Association CIVIL – Center for Freedom Skopje, as well as 12 observers from the Institute for Economic Strategies and International Relations Ohrid – Skopje. 219 international observers and 40 translators have also been accredited.
Special mission for assessment of the elections OSCE/ODIHR has accredited 217 observers, the US Embassy 15, BritishEmbassy Skopje 7, Embassy of France and of Hungary each 6, IFES and Embassy of Albania each 5, Embassies of Russia, the Netherlands and Italy each 4, Embassies of Czech Republic and Croatia and the Central Election Commission Bosnia and Herzegovina each 3 observers, Embassy of Greece, Bulgaria and Spain each 2 and the Embassy of Belgium 1.
